The Jonah Press Sport and Recreation Center was opened in 2000 to promote the health and active recreation of people with a wide range of special needs including physical, cognitive and learning difficulties. It specializes in adapted physical activity in groups, combining therapeutic elements with individual and team sport. Our interest is not only on the promotion of physical activities, but also of improving social aspects of sport.
We prefer to work with small groups of people with similar difficulties, preventing developmental gaps and reducing competitive pressures. A similar functional level permits participants to feel at ease, maximizes their performance and encourages them to attempt difficult and challenging tasks.
