The Special Education School

The Special Education School at Beit Issie Shapiro develops and provides an enriched educational and treatment program for children with  complex motor disabilities (such as Cerebral Palsy) and mild to moderate intellectual disabilities. The program operates on a daily basis and includes an extended program of enrichment in the afternoons.

The Center’s staff includes special educators, occupational, speech, and physical therapists, emotional and creative therapists as well as social workers to guide and support the families.

The Special Education School serves as a model upon which other special education schools in Israel are based.
