Beit Issie Shapiro Welcomes New Board Members in the New Year
Beit Issie Shapiro is honored to have two members join its Board of Directors, Ms. Odelia Fitoussi and Dr. Samir Mhameed.
Ms. Fitoussi is the first Israeli representative to be elected to the United Nations Committee of Convention of Rights of Persons with Disabilities. Dr. Mhameed serves as the Mayor of the Arab-Israeli town of Umm Al-Fahmm.
They join a richly diverse board which includes: Sasha Trump-Weiss, Naomi Stuchiner, Avi Cohen, Adam Fisher, Orli Stuchiner-Cohen, Ari Shapiro, Gila Ben Har, Zeev Abeles, Professor Tamar Krulik, and Professor Michael Stein.
Serving as the pioneering leader and innovator in the field of disabilities, Beit Issie Shapiro provides services and shares model that improve the lives of children and adults with disabilities in Israel and across the globe. The organization’s mission is to create a more inclusive society by advancing opportunities and rights for people with disabilities.
